Geronimo is very responsive and at times wants to acts independent , to very malicious. We believe in one- on-one training for our regatta team members as they are the real success in performance ocean regatta yacht sailing.
The yacht "Geronimo" is a pure ocean regatta yacht. She permits no mistakes at high seas. Your team training and individual performance is the most important part at a regatta to assure the success of the yacht . In the beginning of your training, we go in a cruising sail-mode for easier handling. However it is very possible, more likely, to change sails and set up while at sea pending weather and wind condition. (We practice that first in the harbour - for the first time, it is the safer way to go!) The optional RYA or ASA certification can be on board, via our associated school . The advanced training for cruisers can be very helpful toward the
Ocean Performance Program.
For our ocean-long distance "Real" Regattas, prior performance training or experience is not a prerequisite, but it helps, we always train as we go.
The importance, is not only to be able to compete in a regatta. Rather it is important to have the knowledge and experience via our training so that couples, families and single handed sailors can safely navigate ocean going sailing yachts, where everyone on board can manage, any situation, anytime under any condition.

"Geronimo" Wins SLYCRound St. Lucia Island Non- Stop Race
Fastest Yacht - August 19, 2010
Congratulations to the crew of the Geronimo on the Round the Island Race held in August at St. Lucia Yacht Club and
sponsored by IGY Marinas, Heineken and Cavalier Rum. This is an exciting race that starts at SLYC and makes the entire
trip around St. Lucia - 60+ miles - so it is an all day race, with plenty of room for tactical maneuvers. Even though part of the
crew had small boat experience and some crew members had no racing experience, the Geronimo crew pulled together
and managed to win the race as Fastest Yacht. That is testament to the fact that Geronimo is a crew friendly Ocean Racer.
What a great party for everyone at the club – the Challenge Winner Geronimo received 80 bottles of Cavalier Rum – now
that’s a party! Special thanks goes to all of the sponsors of the race which made it all possible. The Geronimo ran this race
with a crew that had never been on her before - next time, you could be part of the Geronimo crew!

After winning the 2010 Round the Island
Race in St. Lucia, Geronimo will be in
Puerto Rico and Virgin Islands for her
2011 Winter base. Join us there for
